Integrated Quantum Electronics
Nomura group investigates optical, electrical, and thermal transport properties in semiconductor nanostructures at Institute of Industrial Science, University of Tokyo, Japan. We investigate characteristic quantum phenomena in nanoscale systems and application to new functional devices.
Photonics, electronics, and mechanics have been highly developed and these integrated fields also have been highly developed. Our research target is integration of three technologies to develop novel devices that function in quantum levels. We named this integrated field as Integrated Quantum Electronics.
Energy harvesting and energy recycling technologies are essential for energy sustainable society. We mainly investigate thermal conduction in semiconductor nanostructures for thermoelectrics by using semiconductor nanoprocessing technology. This research leads to monitoring infrastructures and building up smart society. Details are shown in Reseach topics.
We have staffs and studens from America, France, Russia, Germany, and China. Thereofre, our common language is automatically English in a meeting and daily life. We enjoy a lab trip onece in a year. Please do not hesitate to contact Prof. Nomura.
